The Vat Savitri Vrat falls on the full moon day of the month of Jyeshtha, around May-June.The married Women observe Vat Savitri Vrat with the intention of preserving their husbands good fortune.On this day, women fast and worship the Vat (Bargad) tree to pray for the growth and strength of their husdand and families.All Hindu women observe this festival worshiping and propitiating Savitri as a Devi. On this day, early morning the women take bath and wear new clothes, new bangles and apply vermilion on the fore-head and the hair-parting line. Then Savitri is worshiped.

Ahoi Ashtami Vrat
आहोई आष्टमी व्रत

This festival is specifically meant for mothers who have sons. Mother's keep fast on this day and this is celebrated in the month of October - November (Karthik Mas). Pure water is offered to stars during the evening time by the mothers and they pray for the long life of their sons.

The fast of Karwa Chauth is kept 9 days before Diwali. It falls on the fourth day of the Kartik month by the Hindu calendar (fourth day of the waning moon or the dark fortnight). Karwa Chauth is considered one of the most important fasts observed by the married Hindu women. On this day the women pray for the welfare and long life of their husbands. It is the most important and difficult fast observed by married Hindu women. It begins before sunrise and ends only after offering prayers and worshipping the moon at night.

Mangla Gauri Vrat
मंगला गौरी व्रत

The Mangla Gari Vrat is observed on every tuesday of the month of Shravan, around July-August. As Mondays of this month are the day for worship of Lord Shiva. The Tuesday of this month are the adoration of Mangla Gauri (one of the nine Durga Shobshi). This Fast is only observed by women. Mainly this is done for 16 or 20 Tuesdays. This vrat is dedicated to Goddess Parvati.
